Today, we launched our newest product here at SmartCow, Soter. Sotar is a network video recorder platform with a built-in NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX 8GB/16GB and Nano module support to run data analytics that support our new AINVR – a network video recorder with an additional layer of AI to provide automated alerts, analytics and visualizations on a unified dashboard – built for edge servers.

The Soter combined AINVR technology is built as an edge computing solution rather than cloud computing in order to address the growing demands of smart technology deployment on the network’s edge, increasing the versatility of the product and its uses on a customer by customer basis.

Soter Key Features:

  • Specifically designed for use with IP Cameras
  • Supports 9 ports Ethernet (8x PoE, 1x GbE)
  • Rich I/O interfaces and flexible expansion
  • Wide Operating temperature

Soter gives developers the ability to have a reliable AINVR solution at the edge. AINVR can process up to 8 camera streams at the same time and perform compute heavy tasks and can dynamically switch different AI models on different camera streams, including people and vehicle detection, license plate recognition, etc.

AINVR Key Features:

  • License Plate Recognition
  • HeatMaps & Path Tracing
  • Face Mask Detection
  • People & Vehicle Counting
  • Occupancy Counting

The meanwhile, AINVR feature is processing this data for real-time visualization on a unified interface. This is impactful for larger smart city projects and AIoT smart city deployments, and in conjunction with SmartCow’s FleetTrackr solution – governments and policymakers can increase efficiency in management and maintenance for long-term smart projects.
