FleetTrackr offers two different options for ticket management. First, you can use the built-in ticket management system that comes with FleetTrackr. However, if your organization is already using Jira for issue tracking, we’ve made it even easier to manage tickets across platforms. With the FleetTrackr and Jira integration, you can manage tickets in Jira, and then view those same tickets in the FleetTrackr UI.

Built-in ticket management system

Using the built-in ticket management system, administrators can easily manage issues related to devices by creating new tickets, filtering tickets by device type, and assigning tickets to a particular assignee. Each ticket is identified by a unique ID and includes essential information such as the issue description, device name, category, priority, and location.

Administrators can drill-down into tickets to view all relevant details, including the conversation history between the assignee and assignor. Administrators can also respond to previous messages, set ticket priorities, and assign a manager or engineer to the ticket with ease.

FleetTrackr and Jira integration for ticket management

With the FleetTrackr and Jira integration, when you create a ticket in FleetTrackr for an issue related to your device, the ticket is sent to Jira. In Jira, a new task is automatically created with all the relevant metadata attached to it. After the task is created in Jira, you can view the ticket in both the FleetTrackr UI and Jira. You can perform all necessary ticket-related tasks, such as reassigning or updating the status, directly within Jira thanks to this integration. This eliminates the need to duplicate status updates across multiple applications and allows you to leverage Jira's powerful issue tracking capabilities, comprehensive reporting features, and customizable workflow templates. Meanwhile, you can continue to view ticket details in FleetTrackr to monitor progress.
